1. Who This Policy Applies To

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of Touchline Pro — school and club administrators, technical desk officials, parents, supporters, and website visitors — and covers all data collected through our website at touchlinepro.co.za and our web application.

Touchline Pro is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa.

We do not collect payment card details — the platform is currently free.
We do not collect player personal details — only jersey numbers are recorded.
We do not collect location data from your device.
We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics that sell data.

To create and manage your account.
To process school and club registration applications.
To display live scores and match results on the platform.
To send score notifications to parents who have opted in.
To generate and email official PDF result sheets.
To send platform updates and important notices.
To improve and develop the platform.

5. How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored on a secure MySQL database hosted in South Africa on domains.co.za infrastructure. Passwords are encrypted using industry-standard bcrypt hashing — we cannot read your password. School logos are stored in a secure directory on our server.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or destruction. However no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

Tournament administrators — match results and official names appear on official result sheets as part of the platform's core function.
Email service providers — we use server-side PHP mail to send notifications. Your email address is used only to send you relevant platform communications.
Legal requirements — if required by South African law or a valid court order.

7. Match Results and Public Information

Match scores, results, age groups, and division information are displayed publicly on the live scores page. Official names attached to signed-off results may be visible to tournament administrators. Player jersey numbers are recorded but no personal player information is collected or displayed.

8. Your Rights Under POPIA

As a South African resident you have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Right of access — you can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Right to correction — you can ask us to correct inaccurate information.
Right to deletion — you can ask us to delete your personal information, subject to our legal obligations.
Right to object — you can object to the processing of your information for direct marketing.
Right to lodge a complaint — you can lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforeg.org.za.

Touchline Pro does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Player jersey numbers recorded during matches are not linked to any personal information. If you believe a child's personal information has been collected please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last updated.
